External Computational Fluid Dynamics Analysis

View Past Projects

External CFD analysis plays a crucial role in ensuring the resilience and performance of critical infrastructure and data centres. By simulating windflow and thermal dispersion around buildings, CFD helps identify risks such as recirculation, exhaust re-ingestion, or shortfalls in design.

External CFD helps optimize:

  • Data center exhaust plume dispersion
  • Cooling tower performance and recirculation risk
  • Wind impacts on natural ventilation corridors
  • District-scale airflow patterns around multiple buildings

Unlike rule-of-thumb design, External CFD provides a detailed simulation of how real environmental factors (wind speed, solar heating, building geometry) interact. This reduces design risk, supports regulatory submissions, and ensures data centers and critical facilities operate efficiently even under extreme weather conditions.

DATA CENTER EXTERIOR

In mission-critical facilities like data centers, external airflow dynamics play a pivotal role in maintaining operational reliability and energy efficiency.

Our CFD simulations go beyond surface-level modelling by accounting for real-world environmental factors, referencing local wind rose data to accurately capture prevailing wind directions, seasonal wind patterns, and velocity fluctuations.

    Internal Computational Fluid Dynamics Analysis

    View Past Projects

Internal CFD analysis simulates airflow, temperature distribution, and cooling efficiency. It is essential for ensuring reliable thermal performance in data halls, substations, and mission-critical environments. By simulation, it helps identify hotspots, airflow short-circuiting, and inefficiencies.

Internal CFD is essential for any environment where cooling reliability and airflow control are critical. Common applications include:

    • Data halls and server rooms
    • Electrical rooms and switchgear bays
    • Transformer rooms
    • UPS and battery rooms
    • Cold/hot aisle containment studies

By accurately simulating airflow and temperature inside facilities, Internal CFD helps optimize equipment placement, airflow paths, and cooling strategies. This leads to reduced energy usage, longer equipment lifespan, and fewer failures — translating into lower operational costs and improved reliability.
